As you all know, we’ve been digging prints here at FashionFazer. They were everywhere at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia. Think Aztec style zigzags, African design and jewelled embellishments.
For an all-out warrior princess glamour, an all over tribal print midi dress is definitely going to be a winner. A fitted midi dress is versatile enough to wear to the office with a smart blazer and ballet style flats but can then be vamped up for a night out by whipping off the jacket and switching to platform heels. I’m definitely beginning to really like this length as it gets a bit cooler.
If you’re after something a tad more subtle try tribal accessories. My pick is definitely some platform wedges, not only are they bang on trend right now and are much more comfortable to walk in than anything but sturdy stilettos. A colourful and bold pair of shoes are bound to get you noticed and update any plain outfit. Ankle straps are also great for added stability!
This winter I’m definitely going to be trying trousers for a whole Annie Hall look. Especially with my whole satchel addiction:
Finally, if you’re really game for something different, try my absolute fave trend: neon aztec! Something bejeweled like the neckline of this top which I’d wear with a vintage denim jacket:
So what do you think about tribal prints making their way into winter? Wearable or better left on the shelf?
