do anything to make you smile

Leaving for Melbourne tomorrow morning at an ungodly hour, am bringing my laptop so will do my best to update the blog!

For now, this is me getting my shit together for life! Or at least attempting to by making lists (I'm a compulsive list maker) about getting my shit together.

Song playing as I write this: 'Do Me a Favour' Arctic Monkeys (favourite quote from this song: 'perhaps 'FUCK OFF" might be too kind')

Quote that keeps running through my mind:
'
We are not just here to survive & live long.....
We are here to live and know life in its multi-dimensions,
to know life in it's richness,
in all it's variety.
And when a man lives multi-dimensionally,
explores all possibilities available,
never shrinks back from any challenge,
goes, rushes to it, welcomes it,
rises to the occasion
then life becomes a flame,
life blooms.

  4. Congrats on the big 5-0... your blog is now over the hill or something. ;-) Also, so many things I love about this post... you have to tell me where you got the ring with the three black stones because it's amazing. I like the mismatched letters in "LOVE" on your bookcase. I want to start titling my "to do"s "getting my shit together" but it would shock my mother and lead to a wholly ridiculous lecture during which I would have to remind my mom many times that I am an adult. And finally, how is "Thus Spoke Zarathustra?" I've been thinking about digging into some Nietzsche, but I don't know where to start.

Whew, that was long. Thanks for checking out my health blog, by the way! I'm honored, haha.

    Ciao,
    Robyn

  6. Thanks everyone for the responses to this post!

Robyn... the rings are from a shop in Aus called equip :(
The mismatched letters on my bookcase are randomly collected but I'm pretty sure the E and O are from Urban outfitters. I have a little bit of a thing for typology and letters etc...
Haha I think my mum would be shocked at my lack of elegance in that to-do list title as well don't worry!

And finally- Nietzche.... how can I put it.... he's a complicated fella. Still trying to get my mind around some things conceptually, but have made it my goal to finish!
