i don't understand why half the world is still crying

My Topshop delivery worn altogether. Seriously, this is my WHOLE order, I got so excited I wore it top to toe.
I know, I'm a freak.

Shoes in my car: Jeffrey Campbell and RMK.
Super freaky armor ring

Today was chilled. Uni has been getting tough and I've been going through a weird introspect phase. I'm blessed to have really beautiful people in my life but I think sometimes I crave expressing that creative side of me more and I don't know many people who share that passion.
Feel like hanging by myself alot for that reason.

Been contemplating my life and where I want to go, what I want to do. There is nothing like driving my car to help catalyze that whole thought process.
I feel really inspired for things to come and I don't think I'll ever let go of the habit of art and learning (yes, I am aware of the fact that I just referred to art and learning as a habit, trust me, it is unexpectedly accurate), I need to find ways to balance it all in my life without burning out.

This week I have the Cleo & Guess party on thursday and then leaving for the weekend with Paul. Card games and wine will be in order.

song playing as I write this: 'Ball & Chain'- Big Brother & the Holding Company
(one of my all time favourite songs. ever. Janis at her best)

quote I keep thinking about: 'I exist as I am and that is enough'

-Walt Whitman

  1. Maria, this was such a great post! First, you know I love you forever for linking to that Ebay store because your ring is bangin'. Second, I totally keep half my shoe collection in my car. And third, I think I really get where you're at right now. So few people end up with creative careers, and it's hard to balance it out with the rest of your life, for sure. One of the main reasons I started blogging is because, even though I LOVE my friends, they all start a collective eye roll if I ever bring up anything fashion-related. And a lot of them do the same with art- and literary- minded comments as well. It's just really nice to be able to talk with people who get that side of you and are as weirdly obsessed about it as well... so, in summation, yay Interweb!

I like these introspective posts, Maria. Keep 'em comin'!
